Pino v. Jensen, 17-01078 KHT, In the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. Represented residential general contractor in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and then prevailed in full in subsequent two full day bench trial in Adversary Proceeding before U.S. Bankruptcy Court. In case involving a contract to add an entire second story and major improvements to Denver house, general contractor found not liable of all of the following statutory grounds for non-discharge: false pretenses, false representation, actual fraud, fraud or defalcation while acting in a fiduciary capacity, embezzlement, larceny, or willful and malicious injury under Section 523 of the Bankruptcy Code. Plaintiffs’ Complaint Objecting to Discharge alleging compensatory damages and attorney fees/costs of almost $1,000,000 denied in full.

In re Bloom, 17-11650 TBM, In the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. Defended individual private corporate jet broker against fraud and non-discharge allegations of over $600,000 in damages regarding prior sale of $3,600,000 private jet in Chapter 13.


In re Northwest Bars, Inc., 16-10633 TBM, In the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. Represented largest Irish pub in Colorado, Katie Mullen’s Irish Restaurant & Pub, in Chapter 11 reorganization filed due to previous failed restructured and multiple defaults on $40,000/month commercial lease on 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver and large non-dischargeable tax debt owed.


In re Arenas, 14-11406 HRT, In the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. Represented individual debtors engaged in business of producing and distributing marijuana against United States Trustee in determining Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy eligibility under the federal Controlled Substances Act in only second ever Colorado marijuana case in Bankruptcy Court.
